Requirements
- 12+ years of experience across government relations, business development, sales leadership, or public policy.
- Proven track record closing government contracts and generating revenue in public-sector markets.
- Substantial experience selling enterprise software to state agencies through statute-driven procurement.
- Experience with government channel partners, GSA schedules, and cooperative purchasing arrangements.
- Experience with public-sector partner programs from major cloud platforms.
- Knowledge of federal and state grant funding mechanisms.
- Experience managing external lobbyists and government affairs consultants.
- Experience sourcing or supporting acquisitions within an acquisition-oriented organization.
- Deep understanding of government procurement, policy development, and regulatory decision-making.
- Bachelor’s degree in business, public policy, law, economics, or public administration, or equivalent professional experience.
Responsibilities
- Develop and lead government affairs and industry relations strategies across federal, state, and local markets.
- Build trusted relationships with government agencies, elected officials, and regulatory bodies.
- Manage outside lobbyists and government affairs consultants.
- Lead pre-solicitation engagement and influence procurement strategies.
- Develop statewide agency programs across transportation, public safety, and related workflows.
- Establish government and industry partnerships including cloud, reseller, and technology alliances.
- Source and qualify acquisition opportunities in government towing and public-sector services.
