Requirements
- BS degree in Computer Science or equivalent.
- Minimum of 5 years of hands-on network engineer experience.
- Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA) or Cisco Certified Network Professional (CCNP).
- Deep understanding of networking protocols (e.g., IPSEC, HSRP, BGP, OSPF, 802.11, QoS) and OSI/TCP-IP models.
- Experience with network hardware (Cisco, Palo Alto, Cradlepoint, Starlink) and monitoring tools (SolarWinds, Wireshark).
- Strong knowledge of cellular and satellite devices.
- Ability to travel up to 50% for onsite support.
- Ability to work after hours, weekends, and holidays if necessary.
- Cisco Certified Internetwork Expert (CCIE) or Certified IS Security Professional (CISSP) preferred.
Responsibilities
- Design, configure, implement, and maintain LAN, WAN, and WLAN infrastructure focusing on cybersecurity and operational efficiency.
- Monitor traditional, cellular, and satellite network performance and capacity to ensure reliable operation.
- Troubleshoot and resolve complex network issues, updating ticketing systems with detailed resolutions.
- Enforce cybersecurity principles and best practices to protect IT/OT environments.
- Maintain accurate documentation, network diagrams, and procedures.
- Communicate complex technical information to non-technical project teams and management.
- Collaborate with vendors, ISPs, and internal stakeholders to meet business needs.
