Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree required; CFP, CFA, or advanced degree is a plus.
  • Active Series 65 license required.
  • Approximately 4–10 years of relevant financial services experience, preferably within investment management or portfolio consulting.
  • Demonstrated experience managing and developing direct reports.
  • Comprehensive understanding of capital markets, portfolio design, investment management, and portfolio implementation.
  • Strong knowledge of investment vehicles, models, platforms, and both public and private markets.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including data analysis and analytical reporting.
  • Familiarity with Orion and Morningstar is preferred.
  • Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to identify issues and implement practical solutions.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to travel approximately 5–10%.

Responsibilities

  • Lead, coach, and support a team of Portfolio Consultants, establishing clear expectations and helping team members maximize their performance.
  • Strategically allocate team resources and manage capacity to support key performance indicators and service requirements.
  • Foster a culture of continuous improvement by identifying opportunities to enhance processes, workflows, and operational efficiency.
  • Ensure Wealth Advisor teams and clients receive a high-quality, concierge-level service experience across all portfolio consulting activities.
  • Clearly communicate investment philosophies and portfolio strategies to internal stakeholders and clients.
  • Lead presentations and educational discussions on investment topics for Wealth Advisor teams.
  • Own standardized investment workflows, ensuring accuracy, consistency, and appropriate controls.
  • Manage trade corrections and develop processes designed to minimize errors and improve trading accuracy.
