Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree required.
  • 10+ years of experience in Salesforce or a comparable low-code/no-code enterprise technology environment.
  • Strong focus on public-sector business development, federal capture, and proposal development.
  • Demonstrated success identifying, shaping, capturing, and winning U.S. federal government contracts.
  • Strong expertise with Salesforce or platforms such as ServiceNow, Appian, or Pega.
  • Experience leading winning proposals for federal civilian and/or Department of Defense programs.
  • Strong understanding of U.S. federal acquisition processes and contract vehicles including IDIQs, BPAs, and GWACs.
  • Working knowledge of Salesforce Sales Cloud, Service Cloud, and Experience Cloud.
  • Understanding of modern software development methodologies, including Agile.
  • Ability to articulate technical capabilities and mission value to executive, technical, and government audiences.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong strategic thinking, negotiation, and stakeholder-management capabilities.

Responsibilities

  • Lead strategic business development, opportunity identification, capture, and growth initiatives focused on expanding the federal Salesforce portfolio.
  • Own and manage the Salesforce opportunity pipeline, including qualification, prioritization, forecasting, account planning, and executive reporting.
  • Develop and execute comprehensive business development and account-growth strategies across federal civilian, Department of Defense, and state and local government markets.
  • Leverage established relationships with government stakeholders, industry influencers, and Salesforce ecosystem partners to identify and accelerate opportunities.
  • Lead complex federal capture and proposal efforts, including solution development, competitive positioning, and pursuit execution.
  • Direct proposal development to ensure alignment with solicitation requirements, federal evaluation criteria, and internal quality standards.
  • Author and contribute to RFIs, white papers, technical approaches, management plans, and executive summaries.
  • Mentor and coach business development and proposal team members on capture practices and execution.
  • Represent the organization at industry conferences, trade shows, and Salesforce public-sector events.
