Requirements
- PhD in a science or healthcare field.
- Early career professional experience in complex medical disorders such as autoimmune, immunology, virology, chronic illness, infectious disease, or rheumatology.
- Well-developed research capabilities using medical literature databases (e.g., PubMed, Google Scholar).
- Exceptional interpersonal skills and service orientation.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to serve as a trusted advisor to clients.
- Resourceful and efficient in managing deadlines and ambiguity.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as a team member.
Responsibilities
- Participate in client calls alongside clinicians to communicate research findings and support shared decision-making.
- Analyze patient medical records including data extraction of lab values, symptoms, medication histories, and outcomes.
- Review and analyze medical literature to summarize clinical studies and provide patient-friendly information.
- Interpret molecular diagnostics and laboratory tests to support patient care decisions.
- Research and prioritize treatment options by evaluating standards of care, professional guidelines, and investigational approaches.
- Identify and evaluate potential clinical trials via database searching and direct communication with trial sites.
- Create patient education documents, including reports, presentations, and data visualizations.
