Requirements
- 5–7 years of experience in vendor management, procurement, contract administration, or data operations.
- Bachelor’s degree in business, information management, healthcare administration, or a related field.
- Demonstrated experience negotiating and administering data licensing or software procurement agreements.
- Strong project management capabilities with the ability to manage multiple concurrent workstreams.
- Proven experience managing vendor relationships, renewals, and contract governance.
- Familiarity with healthcare data categories such as claims, clinical, and benchmarking data.
- Knowledge of data-use rights and regulatory considerations, including HIPAA and Data Use Agreements.
- Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Proactive approach to operational excellence and process improvement.
- Experience in healthcare consulting or professional services is strongly preferred.
Responsibilities
- Lead the end-to-end procurement lifecycle for third-party data, from vendor identification to contract negotiation and onboarding.
- Partner with business and technology stakeholders to assess data requirements, vendor alternatives, and financial implications.
- Manage vendor relationships, resolve performance issues, and conduct regular governance reviews.
- Administer data licensing agreements, maintaining records of usage rights, audit rights, costs, and renewal timelines.
- Analyze vendor portfolio to identify redundancies, consolidate providers, and optimize overall third-party data spend.
- Develop and maintain a centralized vendor inventory to track contracts, costs, and usage metrics.
- Ensure ongoing compliance with vendor reporting requirements and data-use restrictions.
- Lead project management for data operations initiatives and process improvements.
