Requirements
- Experience managing a distributed workforce, community, or knowledge-worker team
- Background in community management, workforce operations, or people management in an async remote environment
- Strong written and verbal English communication skills
- Ability to give clear direction and feedback across a distributed team
- Highly organized with the ability to track multiple team members and project workstreams simultaneously
- Comfortable managing output quality without needing to understand the technical details
- Proactive communicator who surfaces issues early
- Self-directed and reliable in a fully remote, async environment
- Submission of a 1 to 2 minute Loom video introduction
Responsibilities
- Manage teams of 5 to 10 workers per project, keeping their work output on track and on schedule
- Monitor output quality and flag issues early before they affect delivery
- Provide clear direction, feedback, and accountability to team members throughout each project
- Maintain team engagement and performance across a distributed, async workforce
- Coordinate the handoff of completed labeled outputs to the engineering team accurately and on time
- Maintain organized records of project status, team assignments, and output tracking
- Identify and resolve bottlenecks in the workflow before they create delays
- Manage team communications across async channels including Slack and email
- Onboard new team members efficiently and ensure they understand expectations from day one
