Requirements

  • Minimum of 3 years of mortgage servicing experience.
  • 3-5 years of direct Loss Mitigation experience, including borrower hardship evaluation.
  • 3-5 years of collections experience, preferably in mortgage servicing or manufactured housing.
  • Strong knowledge of mortgage default servicing, bankruptcy processes, and loss mitigation workflows.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage an active pipeline and balance competing priorities.
  • Experience developing or documenting operational processes and procedures.
  • Strong Microsoft Excel skills (pivot tables, data analysis, lookups).
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and ability to work independently.
  • Manufactured housing or chattel loan servicing experience is strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Manage an active pipeline of delinquent accounts requiring loss mitigation evaluation, follow-up, and resolution.
  • Evaluate and recommend borrower assistance strategies such as repayment plans, payment deferrals, loan modifications, and voluntary surrenders.
  • Build and formalize a scalable Loss Mitigation operating model by developing standard operating procedures and workflows.
  • Identify operational gaps and inefficiencies to recommend process improvements and strengthen controls.
  • Develop and maintain reporting on pipeline activity, aging, borrower outcomes, and operational trends.
  • Partner with Compliance and Legal to ensure loss mitigation decisions align with regulatory and investor guidelines.
