Requirements
- Minimum of 3 years of mortgage servicing experience.
- 3-5 years of direct Loss Mitigation experience, including borrower hardship evaluation.
- 3-5 years of collections experience, preferably in mortgage servicing or manufactured housing.
- Strong knowledge of mortgage default servicing, bankruptcy processes, and loss mitigation workflows.
- Demonstrated ability to manage an active pipeline and balance competing priorities.
- Experience developing or documenting operational processes and procedures.
- Strong Microsoft Excel skills (pivot tables, data analysis, lookups).
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Exceptional attention to detail and ability to work independently.
- Manufactured housing or chattel loan servicing experience is strongly preferred.
Responsibilities
- Manage an active pipeline of delinquent accounts requiring loss mitigation evaluation, follow-up, and resolution.
- Evaluate and recommend borrower assistance strategies such as repayment plans, payment deferrals, loan modifications, and voluntary surrenders.
- Build and formalize a scalable Loss Mitigation operating model by developing standard operating procedures and workflows.
- Identify operational gaps and inefficiencies to recommend process improvements and strengthen controls.
- Develop and maintain reporting on pipeline activity, aging, borrower outcomes, and operational trends.
- Partner with Compliance and Legal to ensure loss mitigation decisions align with regulatory and investor guidelines.
