Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in sales, business management, marketing, science, or related discipline, or equivalent experience.
  • 10+ years of medical sales experience.
  • Minimum 3 years of experience selling complex diagnostic solutions to health systems or healthcare institutions.
  • Proven experience managing institutional sales cycles, contracting, and implementation.
  • Strong understanding of healthcare systems, reimbursement pathways, and screening protocols.
  • Ability to translate complex clinical or technical concepts into clear customer value.
  • Excellent negotiation, communication, and stakeholder engagement skills with executive and clinical audiences.
  • Experience using CRM platforms and data-driven account planning.
  • Valid driver’s license.
  • Ability to travel approximately 50% of working time, including potential overnight and weekend travel.

Responsibilities

  • Own sales performance across an assigned Midwest territory, developing and executing strategies to acquire and retain health system and institutional customers.
  • Build trusted relationships with C-suite executives, healthcare leaders, physicians, medical directors, and laboratory directors.
  • Develop deep expertise in complex diagnostic technologies and digital health solutions, communicating their clinical, operational, and commercial value.
  • Drive adoption of early cancer detection testing by educating health systems and engaging clinical and administrative stakeholders.
  • Lead complex institutional sales cycles from prospecting and discovery through negotiation, contracting, implementation, and expansion.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to implement electronic medical record integrations and user experience tools supporting customer growth.
  • Maintain accurate CRM records covering customer contacts, sales activities, and pipeline development.
