Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in sales, business management, marketing, science, or related discipline, or equivalent experience.
- 10+ years of medical sales experience.
- Minimum 3 years of experience selling complex diagnostic solutions to health systems or healthcare institutions.
- Proven experience managing institutional sales cycles, contracting, and implementation.
- Strong understanding of healthcare systems, reimbursement pathways, and screening protocols.
- Ability to translate complex clinical or technical concepts into clear customer value.
- Excellent negotiation, communication, and stakeholder engagement skills with executive and clinical audiences.
- Experience using CRM platforms and data-driven account planning.
- Valid driver’s license.
- Ability to travel approximately 50% of working time, including potential overnight and weekend travel.
Responsibilities
- Own sales performance across an assigned Midwest territory, developing and executing strategies to acquire and retain health system and institutional customers.
- Build trusted relationships with C-suite executives, healthcare leaders, physicians, medical directors, and laboratory directors.
- Develop deep expertise in complex diagnostic technologies and digital health solutions, communicating their clinical, operational, and commercial value.
- Drive adoption of early cancer detection testing by educating health systems and engaging clinical and administrative stakeholders.
- Lead complex institutional sales cycles from prospecting and discovery through negotiation, contracting, implementation, and expansion.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders to implement electronic medical record integrations and user experience tools supporting customer growth.
- Maintain accurate CRM records covering customer contacts, sales activities, and pipeline development.
