Requirements
- 5+ years of experience in product ownership, business analysis, or data analysis.
- Strong working knowledge of SQL fundamentals (SELECT, JOIN, GROUP BY, etc.).
- Solid understanding of relational database concepts and normalization.
- Proven experience collaborating with data engineering or data warehouse teams.
- Familiarity with data architecture concepts like lakehouse, dimensional modeling, and medallion architectures.
- Experience in Agile/Scrum environments, including backlog refinement and story writing.
- Strong documentation skills for defining workflows and requirements.
- Proficiency with product and documentation tools like Jira, Confluence, Lucidchart, or Visio.
- Ability to manage multiple concurrent projects and clarify ambiguous requirements.
- Experience with AI tools for research, documentation, and analysis.
- Experience in healthcare technology or with HIPAA/HITECH frameworks is preferred.
Responsibilities
- Translate product roadmaps, epics, and stakeholder requests into user stories, acceptance criteria, and technical requirements.
- Maintain and groom the product backlog, track dependencies, and support sprint planning.
- Conduct stakeholder interviews, process reviews, and gap analyses to define current and future-state workflows.
- Specify reporting and analytics requirements including data grain, source logic, and UI requirements.
- Collaborate with Data Engineering to validate source-to-target mappings and transformation logic.
- Perform hands-on data inspection and validation using SQL.
- Define test scenarios and partner with QA to ensure reporting solutions meet quality standards.
- Track risks, blockers, and dependencies to maintain delivery momentum.
