Requirements
- 8+ years of experience designing and deploying complex ML/AI solutions in mission-critical production environments.
- Demonstrated technical leadership experience.
- Advanced expertise in Python, RESTful API design, Protobuf, and microservices architectures.
- Hands-on experience with Docker, Kubernetes, container orchestration, and real-time inference services.
- Experience designing generative AI systems including RAG pipelines, LLM fine-tuning, and vector databases.
- Knowledge of data-layer technologies including relational databases, key-value stores, and distributed queueing (Kafka/Celery).
- Experience architecting cloud-native systems on AWS or comparable platforms.
- Exceptional communication and strategic problem-solving skills.
- Experience with Java or Kotlin is a plus.
- Experience with regulated environments (HIPAA, SOC 2, PHI, PII) is preferred.
- Experience building internal developer platforms or ML tooling is highly valued.
Responsibilities
- Define and execute the long-term architecture and roadmap for machine learning and generative AI platforms.
- Architect end-to-end AI infrastructure covering model training, fine-tuning, low-latency inference, RAG systems, and vector databases.
- Establish engineering standards for dataset lineage, CI/CD, automated evaluation, red-teaming, and production monitoring.
- Partner with product, data science, and security teams to translate strategic business objectives into scalable AI capabilities.
- Provide technical leadership through architectural reviews, prototypes, and strategic development.
- Mentor senior machine learning engineers to improve technical quality and delivery practices.
- Serve as a technical anchor building alignment on complex architectural and technology decisions.
