Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting.
- 3+ years of professional accounting experience.
- Corporate accounting experience.
- Basic knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
- Understanding of the technical aspects of account analyses and financial statements.
- Proficiency in reconciling accounts and performing GL analysis.
- Basic Excel skills (Sumif, Vlookup, Pivot Tables).
- Experience with large ERP and Accounting Software (SAP, Oracle, INTACCT, Net Suite, Maconomy, etc) preferred.
- Fluent English level.
- Located in Latin America.
- Ability to set priorities, multi-task, and meet critical deadlines.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
Responsibilities
- Perform monthly, quarterly, and year-end close activities.
- Prepare and post journal entries with supporting documentation.
- Maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts.
- Prepare balance sheet reconciliations and investigate discrepancies.
- Support the preparation of financial statements in accordance with US GAAP (or IFRS, as applicable).
- Manage accounting for accruals, prepaid expenses, fixed assets, leases, and other corporate accounting areas.
- Assist with external audits by preparing schedules, supporting documentation, and responding to auditor requests.
- Analyze financial results and explain significant variances.
- Collaborate with FP&A, Treasury, Payroll, Tax, and other business functions.
- Identify opportunities to improve accounting processes, automation, and reporting efficiency.
