Requirements
- Advanced, independent bookkeeping expertise with end-to-end portfolio management experience.
- Experience teaching or explaining finance/accounting concepts directly to clients.
- Degree or credential in education/teaching, with finance/accounting as a secondary field of study.
- Strong presentation skills with comfort on video calls for regular client-facing interactions.
- Formal educational background in accounting.
- CPA certification (preferred).
- Proficiency with QuickBooks Online or ability to learn new platforms quickly.
- Experience working remotely for U.S.-based companies (preferred).
- Experience managing multiple clients in an outsourced or multi-client environment (preferred).
- Familiarity with U.S. GAAP as applied to small-business financial reporting (preferred).
Responsibilities
- Serve as a client-facing point of contact, presenting financial results and answering questions directly on calls or video meetings.
- Manage daily bookkeeping operations for a portfolio of small and medium-sized business clients.
- Perform monthly bank and credit card reconciliations, identifying and resolving discrepancies.
- Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable, including invoicing, bill pay, and collections follow-up.
- Prepare and present financial reports (P&L, balance sheet, cash flow) to clients and internal stakeholders.
- Oversee month-end close for assigned clients, ensuring deadlines and quality standards are met.
- Maintain accurate, audit-ready records across QuickBooks Online and other client accounting systems.
- Flag discrepancies, unusual transactions, or process gaps to management proactively.
- Communicate directly with U.S.-based team members and clients in English.
