Requirements
- 3–5 years of accounting experience with U.S.-based companies.
- Strong knowledge of construction or job-costed accounting practices.
- Proficiency in QuickBooks Online (QBO) and Google Workspace (Sheets, Docs, Drive).
- Experience integrating external applications with QuickBooks Online.
- Full professional fluency in English (written & verbal).
- Ability to manage multiple active projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.
- Proven experience managing external stakeholders.
- Strong remote communication and asynchronous collaboration skills.
- Proactive, solutions-oriented mindset with high sense of ownership.
- CPA certification preferred.
- Familiarity with federal project accounting such as certified payroll or prevailing wage is a plus.
Responsibilities
- Manage the full accounting cycle including reconciliations, month-end close, and financial reporting.
- Apply job costing and work-in-progress (WIP) principles to track project profitability.
- Support percentage-of-completion revenue recognition and progress billing for diverse projects.
- Integrate and optimize external applications with QuickBooks Online to streamline operations.
- Oversee accounts payable, accounts receivable, expense management, and subcontractor payments.
- Ensure compliance for federally funded projects, including certified payroll and prevailing wage documentation.
- Collaborate with project managers and field teams to explain financial concepts and project status.
