Requirements
- At least 5 years of relevant experience in payment operations, payment performance, acquiring, or subscription billing.
- Direct experience working with multiple PSPs such as Stripe, Adyen, Braintree, or Checkout.com.
- Proven experience building or operating payment orchestration, routing, and cascading systems.
- Deep experience with recurring subscriptions, renewals, retries, dunning, and involuntary-churn reduction.
- Experience managing more than $12 million in payment volume.
- Strong knowledge of payment metrics like authorization rates, decline reasons, and fraud ratios.
- Experience building reporting, dashboards, and operational monitoring from the ground up.
- Confidence working with senior executives, technical teams, and external providers.
- Strong English communication and negotiation skills.
Responsibilities
- Assess current payment setup and define multi-PSP infrastructure strategy.
- Evaluate, negotiate with, and onboard new payment service providers (PSPs).
- Design and implement payment orchestration, routing, and failover logic.
- Monitor payment performance metrics across all providers, products, and markets.
- Define retry, cascading, and dunning strategies to reduce involuntary churn.
- Develop reporting, dashboards, and operational alerts for payment issues.
- Manage the operational framework for disputes, refunds, and fraud monitoring.
- Collaborate with finance, legal, product, and engineering teams.
