Requirements

  • 3–5 years of experience in nonprofit development, grants management, fundraising operations, or a related field, with strong experience in development operations preferred.
  • Excellent organizational and project management skills, with the ability to manage complex workflows and competing deadlines.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data, create insights, and communicate findings effectively.
  • Experience working with CRMs, fundraising databases, reporting tools, donor research platforms, or grant management systems.
  • Ability to quickly learn new systems and independently manage operational processes within a short onboarding period.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to create clear donor-facing and internal materials.
  • Experience supporting donor engagement, prospect research, fundraising strategy, or grant reporting activities.
  • A personal or professional connection to social impact work, child welfare, community programs, or systems change initiatives is valued.
  • A curious, solutions-oriented mindset with the ability to thrive in a rapidly evolving environment.
  • Interest in leveraging AI tools to improve efficiency, enhance decision-making, and create thoughtful solutions while applying strong judgment and creativity.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate with program, finance, and leadership teams to ensure timely completion of donor deliverables, including proposals, reports, communications, and supporting materials.
  • Manage development calendars, team workflows, scheduling, and operational processes to improve efficiency and execution.
  • Prepare donor briefings, prospect materials, meeting documentation, and follow-up actions while ensuring consistent communication across stakeholders.
  • Maintain and improve systems for donor information, document management, grant tracking, and fundraising operations.
  • Ensure CRM data accuracy, conduct regular quality reviews, and develop dashboards and reports that support fundraising strategy and leadership decision-making.
  • Research prospective donors, funding opportunities, and partnership opportunities to support pipeline development.
  • Manage grant administration processes, including tracking deadlines, deliverables, reporting requirements, and payment schedules.
  • Coordinate inputs from multiple departments to ensure complete and accurate grant submissions and reporting.
  • Identify opportunities to optimize processes, improve data visibility, and strengthen development operations.
