Requirements

  • 10+ years of experience in biotech, pharmaceutical, or related healthcare industries.
  • 5+ years developing and executing enterprise or global training strategies.
  • Advanced degree in a clinical field required (such as RN, RNP, Nurse Education, or equivalent).
  • Deep understanding of medical and scientific capability requirements within Medical Affairs, Field Medical, and Development organizations.
  • Experience with instructional design principles, training methodologies, and modern learning technologies.
  • Demonstrated experience creating capability models, curricula, learning pathways, and certification programs.
  • Strong strategic planning, analytical thinking, and problem-solving abilities.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to engage diverse audiences.
  • Proven ability to influence stakeholders, build trust, and drive alignment.
  • Ability to operate in a dynamic, deadline-driven environment with occasional domestic and international travel.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and evolve multi-year medical and scientific training strategies aligned with business priorities, portfolio needs, and Medical Affairs objectives.
  • Translate organizational goals into actionable training plans, ensuring measurable outcomes and effective execution.
  • Provide strategic oversight of training frameworks, curricula, learning systems, and delivery approaches across development and field-facing roles.
  • Partner with senior leaders and cross-functional stakeholders to identify capability gaps and define future learning priorities.
  • Oversee the design and delivery of scientific, disease-state, and capability-based learning programs grounded in adult learning principles.
  • Establish and improve certification frameworks to ensure readiness across medical and scientific functions.
  • Evaluate training effectiveness through data analysis, performance insights, and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Drive innovation through the adoption of new learning technologies, including digital and AI-enabled approaches.
