Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and work experience.
- 2–4 years of experience in scholarly publishing, digital collections, electronic publishing, archives, or related operational environments.
- Strong understanding of content operations, digital publishing workflows, and content quality standards.
- Ability to think strategically about long-term process effectiveness.
- Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Experience developing process documentation and workflow standards.
- Knowledge of XML, SGML, ONIX, or metadata standards preferred.
- Experience with JIRA, Google Workspace, Microsoft Office Suite, databases, or FTP preferred.
- Ability to independently identify and implement solutions to operational challenges.
- Ability to design and document new or revised processes.
- Ability to communicate complex ideas clearly across teams and leadership levels.
Responsibilities
- Coordinate content operations workflows across Archive Journals, Books at JSTOR, Reveal Digital, and Research Reports.
- Drive improvements in content quality, metadata integrity, and discoverability.
- Investigate, assess, and resolve content and data issues while leading remediation efforts.
- Partner cross-functionally with platform teams and vendors to optimize workflows and automation.
- Serve as a subject matter expert, translating operational standards into actionable guidance.
- Develop and maintain process documentation and operational guidance.
- Guide vendors by providing operational direction, training, and problem-solving support.
- Evaluate incoming content deliveries and workflow exceptions to proactively identify and mitigate risks.
- Support operational readiness for new products and content types.
- Implement accessibility best practices into daily work.
