Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or a related field.
- 5+ years of experience in sales compensation administration, commission operations, or a similar revenue operations function.
- Strong understanding of sales commission processes and incentive compensation structures.
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including experience performing manual commission calculations and complex data analysis.
- Experience working with commission management platforms such as CaptivateIQ or similar cloud-based compensation tools.
- Familiarity with Salesforce, incentive compensation management systems, or collaboration/project management platforms.
- Strong organizational skills with excellent attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively across teams and with various levels of leadership.
- Self-motivated problem solver who can work independently, take initiative, and identify opportunities for improvement.
Responsibilities
- Administer commission operations, including expense accruals, variable compensation calculations, commission payments, bonuses, incentive programs, and special compensation arrangements.
- Manage compensation plan administration, including plan distribution, employee acceptance tracking, system setup, adjustments, and data validation.
- Ensure compensation calculations and payments are accurate, complete, timely, and aligned with established company policies and practices.
- Configure, test, and maintain commission systems to support updates to incentive plans and compensation structures.
- Partner with Sales Operations, Human Resources, Finance, and other stakeholders to track employee changes including new hires, transfers, terminations, compensation updates, and retroactive adjustments.
- Analyze compensation data, prepare reports, and support ad hoc projects related to commissions, sales incentives, and revenue operations.
- Identify process improvements and provide recommendations to increase efficiency, accuracy, and scalability.
- Support the ongoing optimization of compensation tools, workflows, and reporting capabilities.
