Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in business, government relations, sales, or a related field.
- 1+ years of experience in business development, sales, account management, or a related customer-facing role.
- Experience working with federal, state, or local government organizations is preferred.
- Ability to navigate complex organizational structures and manage longer sales cycles involving multiple stakeholders.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to adapt messaging for different audiences.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with sales teams and cross-functional partners.
- Familiarity with government terminology, workforce programs, recruitment processes, or contracting practices is a plus.
- Experience with recruitment technology, talent platforms, or SaaS solutions is beneficial.
- Demonstrated ability to leverage AI tools and technology to improve productivity and business impact is preferred.
Responsibilities
- Develop and execute outreach strategies to identify and engage potential government clients across federal and state & local organizations.
- Build relationships with key stakeholders, including decision-makers, influencers, and operational leaders within government agencies.
- Partner closely with account executives and cross-functional teams to develop qualified sales pipeline and improve go-to-market strategies.
- Navigate complex government organizational structures, procurement processes, budgets, and funding cycles.
- Research target organizations to understand their missions, workforce priorities, and hiring challenges.
- Tailor messaging and communication approaches to align with government terminology, priorities, and operational needs.
- Educate prospects on solutions that support early-career talent recruitment and workforce development initiatives.
- Maintain accurate prospect information, track engagement activities, and contribute insights to sales planning.
- Support continuous improvement of outreach strategies by sharing market feedback and identifying new opportunities.
