Requirements
- 5+ years of professional software development experience.
- Advanced proficiency in Ruby on Rails and relational databases.
- Proven ability to design and optimize scalable data models and APIs.
- Familiarity with Redis, PostgreSQL, and Sidekiq in a production environment.
- Experience contributing across the full stack, including front-end, back-end, and data layers.
- Demonstrated experience leveraging artificial intelligence (AI) to build or optimize product features.
- Ability to handle complex tasks and ambiguous problems independently.
- Strong understanding of business trade-offs and technical risk communication.
- Proven ability to provide mentorship and proactive feedback to team members.
Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and deliver complex, cross-cutting features and systems in Ruby on Rails, Postgres, GraphQL, and REST.
- Lead efforts to address technical debt and system reliability through refactoring and optimization.
- Influence and evolve system architecture and design to support future needs.
- Set and uphold high standards for code quality, testing coverage, and documentation while mentoring others.
- Drive improvements to internal tooling, CI/CD pipelines, and monitoring systems.
- Facilitate technical discussions and decision-making regarding trade-offs and solutions.
- Partner with product managers, designers, and engineers to identify technical opportunities and risks early in discovery.
