Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- Active CPA license.
- 5+ years of relevant accounting experience, with at least 2+ years of technical revenue experience.
- Deep practical ASC 606 expertise (performance obligations, variable consideration, material rights, etc.).
- Demonstrated technical accounting research and writing skills.
- Experience with revenue controls and supporting external audits in a SOX environment.
- Advanced Excel skills.
- Experience with NetSuite and Salesforce.
- Ability to influence cross-functional teams without direct authority.
- Sound practical judgment in applying accounting standards.
Responsibilities
- Partner with Product, Sales, and Legal during the inception phase of new products to assess revenue recognition positioning under ASC 606.
- Author and document revenue accounting policies and technical position papers for new offerings.
- Research and resolve complex accounting conclusions for non-routine transactions and corporate acquisitions.
- Evaluate emerging commercial structures and consumption-based billing models to determine performance obligations.
- Lead initiatives to scale technical revenue processes and drive automation.
- Serve as a primary contact for technical revenue matters with external auditors and maintain SOX control documentation.
- Provide support for month-end and quarterly close execution, including revenue reporting and flux analysis.
