Requirements
- 5+ years of experience building scalable fullstack applications in production environments.
- Proficiency in frontend and backend technologies including React, TypeScript, Java, GraphQL, and PostgreSQL.
- Experience with APIs, distributed systems, and modern web application architecture.
- Experience designing systems and influencing technical direction.
- Ability to write clean, maintainable code.
- Experience with Google Kubernetes Engine (GKE).
- Experience with AI-assisted development tools.
- Proven ability to own software from implementation through production health.
- Strong communication skills for documentation and collaboration in distributed teams.
- Ability to navigate ambiguity and make technical trade-offs.
- Experience mentoring and sharing knowledge with teammates.
Responsibilities
- Build and evolve Groove, a fullstack platform that supports planning, collaboration, and execution.
- Design and deliver features including initiative tracking, planning workflows, and dependency management.
- Work across the stack using React, TypeScript, Java, GraphQL, PostgreSQL, and Google Kubernetes Engine (GKE) to build end-to-end solutions.
- Partner closely with product managers and designers to understand user needs and create intuitive, effective experiences.
- Ensure reliability through testing, monitoring, and continuous improvement in production.
- Participate in an on-call rotation and help respond to production incidents.
- Improve the performance, scalability, and maintainability of frontend and backend systems.
- Lead the design and delivery of complex, high-impact features across the stack.
- Own problems end-to-end, from shaping ambiguous requirements through to production-ready solutions.
- Mentor engineers and contribute to raising the technical bar across the team.
