Requirements
- 5+ years of experience working with AWS (EC2, RDS, S3, ECS, Fargate, IAM, IaC, networking, security groups).
- Strong background with CI/CD tools such as GitHub Actions, Jenkins, GitLab CI, or CircleCI.
- Proven experience managing and developing technical team members through coaching and mentorship.
- Demonstrated ability to implement operational processes including documentation, change management, and incident response.
- Solid understanding of cloud security best practices, IAM policies, and SOC 2 considerations.
- Proficiency in infrastructure-as-code for audit trails.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to explain technical complexity to diverse stakeholders.
- Experience with Terraform or CloudFormation (preferred).
- Knowledge of container orchestration (Kubernetes) and monitoring tools (DataDog, CloudWatch, Grafana).
- Understanding of SRE (Site Reliability Engineering) practices.
- AWS certifications (Solutions Architect, SysOps Administrator) are a plus.
Responsibilities
- Manage and mentor IT operations team members, providing technical guidance and hands-on coaching.
- Own and scale the AWS environment, focusing on architecture patterns, cost optimization, security, and disaster recovery.
- Design and maintain automated CI/CD pipelines for web, AI/ML, and hardware-dependent deployments.
- Build operational maturity through documentation, runbooks, change management, and incident response procedures.
- Partner with engineering teams to enable fast, secure deployments and high system reliability.
- Lead incident response efforts, conduct blameless post-mortems, and implement preventive measures.
