Job Details

3+ years of experience in product design.
Substantial experience planning and facilitating design sprints, both remotely and in-person.
Strong grounding in UX fundamentals: user stories, user journeys, user flows, and wireframing.
Expertise in Figma.
Experience working on cross-functional product teams.
Demonstrated experience using AI coding/design agents (e.g., Claude) to accelerate prototyping.
Excellent facilitation and communication skills, with the ability to lead groups over video or in person.
Ability to synthesize divergent input in real time and maintain alignment during tightly scheduled sprints.
Genuine interest in the media/news ecosystem, prosocial design, or online community.
Available for concentrated blocks of time around 3-day sprints plus prep and retro sessions.

Co-plan, co-lead and co-facilitate design sprints on the themes of AI/public conversation and news creators.
Partner with the product director and staff researcher to scope sprints into clear briefs and shape the shared research knowledge base.
Guide the team through the sprint arc, including designing sketching exercises like Crazy 8s or worst-idea/flip-it.
Coach engineers and non-designers on writing user stories, mapping user journeys, and building user flows.
Facilitate rapid, structured prototyping using AI-assisted design and coding tools.
Participate in sketching and prototyping activities during the sprint.
Translate research and provocations into sketchable, testable concepts for news creators and agentic interfaces.
Synthesize insights from sprints to make recommendations for future innovation work.
Maintain clear documentation of sprint artifacts including briefs, journeys, flows, and prototypes.
