Requirements
- 5+ years of QA/testing experience
- 1-2 years leading or mentoring other testers
- Strong hands-on experience with manual, exploratory testing
- Experience testing across iOS, Android, and web platforms
- Experience writing clear test plans, test cases, and bug reports
- Comfortable communicating testing status and risks to teams
- Experience working closely with Product teams
- Familiarity with bug tracking tools such as Jira, Linear, or TestRail
- Understanding of social media platform dynamics (feeds, posting, messaging, moderation)
Responsibilities
- Own the testing process for new features and updates before they're approved for release
- Design test plans and test cases based on product specs and user stories, then execute them by hand across devices
- Lead a small team of QA testers, assigning test coverage and reviewing their findings
- Perform exploratory testing to catch issues automated tests and spec documents miss
- Test across iOS, Android, and web to confirm consistent look, feel, and functionality
- Document bugs clearly and track them through to resolution
- Partner closely with Product Managers to understand intended behavior and sign off on feature readiness
- Communicate testing status and outstanding risks to product and leadership ahead of each release
- Maintain a repository of test cases and checklists for recurring feature types
- Coordinate final pre-launch “bug bashes” with cross-functional participants
