Requirements
- 3–5+ years of production platform or infrastructure experience.
- Proficiency in Infrastructure-as-Code using Terraform.
- Hands-on experience with Kubernetes, Helm, and containerization.
- Solid working knowledge of object stores and modern storage formats.
- Familiarity with data orchestration tools such as Dagster, Airflow, or Prefect.
- Strong software engineering skills, specifically with Python.
- Experience implementing security, access control, and least-privilege in code.
- Ability to work cloud-first, specifically within AWS.
- Fluency in English.
Responsibilities
- Build and maintain storage architecture and access tooling for large, multimodal biological datasets.
- Create internal services and paved roads that promote self-serve data access and processing.
- Manage storage and data infrastructure using object stores and modern storage formats like Parquet, Delta, or Iceberg.
- Extend Terraform IaC and CI/CD pipelines to ensure the data platform is reproducible.
- Implement access control, data classification, and least-privilege access in code.
- Collaborate with the platform team to define and productize platform capabilities.
