Requirements
- 3–5+ years of production platform or infrastructure engineering experience.
- Strong proficiency in Infrastructure-as-Code using Terraform.
- Hands-on experience with Kubernetes, Helm, and containerization.
- Solid software engineering skills in Python or a comparable language.
- Working knowledge of object stores (e.g., S3) and relational databases.
- Experience with modern storage formats such as Parquet, Delta, or Iceberg.
- Familiarity with data orchestration tooling such as Dagster, Airflow, or Prefect.
- Experience implementing security, access control, and least-privilege in code.
- Ability to work in a cloud-first (AWS) environment.
- Strong communication skills with English proficiency for professional documentation and collaboration.
Responsibilities
- Own the data and storage self-service layer including provisioning, access, and lifecycle management.
- Build platform services and paved roads to abstract complexity for researchers and engineers.
- Design and maintain storage architecture using object stores and modern storage formats like Parquet, Delta, and Iceberg.
- Manage infrastructure using Terraform, IaC, and CI/CD pipelines.
- Engineer security by implementing access control, data classification, and least-privilege access in code.
- Apply a product lens to determine which capabilities graduate into the platform versus experimental status.
