Requirements

  • Master’s degree in Public Administration, Economics, Management, or related field.
  • At least 5 years of experience in financial inclusion (financial service providers, fintech, or development finance).
  • Proven experience managing partnerships with donors, clients, and implementation partners.
  • Demonstrated expertise conducting financial inclusion research in Asia, Africa, and Latin America.
  • Experience with women’s financial inclusion initiatives and MSMEs.
  • Proficiency in qualitative and quantitative research, including fieldwork and data analysis.
  • Strong ability to develop research reports, presentations, and knowledge products.
  • Experience contributing to fundraising, business development, and donor engagement.
  • Experience supporting senior leadership with strategic initiatives and planning.
  • Knowledge of climate adaptation and resilience research.
  • Experience managing teams, consultants, and multi-stakeholder projects.
  • Ability to travel domestically and internationally up to 20% annually.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the development and execution of research strategies aligned with organizational priorities.
  • Define research priorities, identify opportunities, and develop high-value research questions.
  • Oversee a diverse portfolio of qualitative and quantitative research projects.
  • Develop and institutionalize impact measurement, learning, and reporting approaches.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with funders, research institutions, and policymakers.
  • Support fundraising activities, contribute to proposals, and develop donor engagement strategies.
  • Represent the organization as a senior thought leader at global conferences and forums.
  • Manage consultants, research partners, and project teams while mentoring staff.
