Requirements
- University degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or a related field.
- CPA, ACCA, CIMA, or equivalent professional qualification preferred.
- Minimum 6+ years of professional accounting experience.
- At least 3 years of experience managing leaders or large teams.
- Deep technical expertise in HGB standards.
- Solid professional experience applying IFRS.
- Full professional proficiency in German.
- Full professional proficiency in English.
- Advanced proficiency navigating Enterprise ERP systems.
- Advanced proficiency in Google Workspace.
Responsibilities
- Provide direct management to the accounting team, focusing on professional development and performance enablement.
- Oversee the preparation of timely and accurate monthly, quarterly, and annual closings in accordance with HGB and IFRS standards.
- Maintain full accountability for all German tax filings and ensure strict compliance with local regulatory requirements.
- Maintain and enhance internal control frameworks to mitigate financial risks.
- Identify and implement strategic process improvements within ERP systems and the accounting technology stack.
- Manage the end-to-end annual statutory audit process and act as the primary interface for external auditors.
