Requirements

  • 5+ years in compliance analytics, monitoring, surveillance, transaction testing, or audit analytics in consumer lending or banking.
  • Advanced SQL proficiency.
  • Hands-on experience with modern cloud data stacks (e.g., Snowflake, Databricks).
  • Experience building and operating automated pipelines, dashboards, and data quality checks.
  • Working knowledge of consumer credit regulations (TILA/Reg Z, ECOA/Reg B, EFTA/Reg E, FCRA, SCRA, MLA, TCPA).
  • Ability to convert regulatory obligations into automated data logic.
  • Evidence-grade documentation skills with experience supporting regulatory exams under deadlines.
  • Experience with AI-assisted development tools for query building and workflow automation.
  • Experience training, guiding, or reviewing the work of junior analysts.
  • Builder disposition with comfort in ambiguity and self-directed prioritization.

Responsibilities

  • Own the design, operation, and governance of automated compliance monitoring, translating regulatory obligations into rule-based detective controls.
  • Serve as the primary data owner for regulatory examinations, licensing audits, and bank partner exam requests.
  • Triage monitoring exceptions and data anomalies, distinguishing true compliance exceptions from data artifacts.
  • Map automated checks to specific regulatory requirements, closing the loop between monitoring exceptions and tracked compliance issues.
  • Drive the automation roadmap, identifying manual reporting needs for conversion into automated pipelines and self-service tools.
  • Steward the compliance data environment, maintaining query repositories, runbooks, and methodology documentation.
  • Provide technical direction, training, and quality review for a supporting data analyst.
  • Partner with Engineering, Legal, and Product teams to resolve data quality questions and expand monitoring coverage.
