Requirements
- 10+ years of experience in product security, cloud security engineering, or a related field.
- Strong knowledge of Google Cloud Platform (GCP) services and security best practices (IAM, networking, data protection, workload runtimes).
- Hands-on experience with penetration testing coordination, threat modeling, and risk assessment.
- Demonstrated proficiency in Python and cloud-native programming or scripting for security automation.
- Experience designing and enforcing least-privilege IAM and conducting access reviews.
- Strong ability to communicate security risks and recommendations to engineering and leadership audiences.
- Experience managing and mentoring security engineering teams.
- Familiarity with Infrastructure as Code and policy enforcement.
Responsibilities
- Provide strategic and people leadership for the Product Security function, hiring, mentoring, and developing engineers.
- Partner with product and engineering teams to support security architecture reviews for product features and the GCP environment.
- Facilitate threat modeling and document risks, existing controls, and actionable recommendations.
- Coordinate and support penetration testing engagements, including vendor selection, scoping, and remediation tracking.
- Serve as a GCP security subject matter expert, advising on networking, data protection, and compute runtime security.
- Support the implementation and improvement of least-privilege IAM in GCP, including role design and service account management.
- Develop and maintain security guardrails through policy and infrastructure-as-code (e.g., Terraform).
- Coach and mentor engineers and code owners on secure-by-default coding practices.
