Requirements
- 5+ years of extensive security engineering experience within product or application security.
- Strong hands-on software engineering skills, including coding ability in Python, Go, and/or TypeScript.
- Depth in secure SDLC, threat modeling, and code scanning.
- Experience with supply-chain and dependency security.
- Fluency with the modern AI landscape and its influence on security.
- Ability to work effectively in a startup environment with ambiguity and high ownership.
- Experience securing AI/ML products or agentic systems (bonus).
- Background in developer-enablement or security-champions programs (bonus).
- Prior experience building an AppSec function from scratch (bonus).
Responsibilities
- Embed security into the software development lifecycle via threat modeling, secure design reviews, and secure-coding guidance.
- Own application security testing, including code review, SAST/DAST, and triaging issues to remediation.
- Harden the software supply chain through dependency verification and CI/CD pipeline security.
- Build and automate security tooling and guardrails to scale security alongside engineering efforts.
- Serve as the internal security SME for product decisions and act as an early user of the platform.
- Partner across teams on architecture and design to ensure security is a default.
