Requirements
- 6+ years of hands-on experience in DevOps, cloud platform engineering, or infrastructure.
- Strong cloud platform experience across AWS and/or Azure, including S3, ADLS, IAM, networking, compute, and secrets management.
- Proven hands-on experience with infrastructure-as-code tools (e.g., Terraform, CloudFormation).
- Solid experience designing and operating CI/CD pipelines and tooling (e.g., GitHub Actions, Bitbucket Pipelines, Azure DevOps).
- Proficiency in Python for scripting and operational tooling.
- Working knowledge of SQL for platform troubleshooting and data flow validation.
- Working knowledge of Unix/Linux environments and system administration concepts.
- Experience delivering projects for external or internal clients in a professional services or managed services environment.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills in English.
- Active daily use of AI coding tools with demonstrated judgment.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT, Engineering, or equivalent practical experience.
Responsibilities
- Own and drive end-to-end operational delivery for cloud-native data platform environments (AWS, Azure) across multiple managed services clients.
- Translate business and technical requirements into resilient, cost-effective platform solutions aligned with phData methodologies.
- Build, deploy, and maintain infrastructure-as-code configurations and CI/CD pipelines.
- Monitor and support production data jobs and pipelines (ETL/ELT), ensuring timely resolution of failures.
- Collaborate with Solutions Architects, data engineering teams, and client stakeholders to deliver integrated engagements.
- Provide technical leadership during troubleshooting sessions, infrastructure reviews, and platform deployments.
- Contribute to internal initiatives such as building IaC templates, automation scripts, and operational playbooks.
- Mentor peers and junior engineers, fostering a culture of learning and continuous improvement.
