Requirements
- Master’s degree in Genetic Counseling or equivalent.
- Board certified by the American Board of Genetic Counseling or the American Board of Medical Genetics.
- Two or more years of clinical genetic counseling experience.
- Exceptional oral and written communication skills.
- Attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and collaborate with teams.
- Adaptability to a fast-paced environment.
- Familiarity with Google Workspace.
- Completion of HIPAA/PHI, compliance, and security training within 30 days of hire.
Responsibilities
- Review patient and reproductive partner's medical, reproductive, and family history.
- Conduct genetic risk assessments and explain identified risks.
- Offer relevant testing options and discuss benefits, risks, and limitations.
- Document counseling sessions and perform results follow-up.
- Answer inquiries from healthcare providers.
- Assist in the development of genetic counseling protocols, SOPs, and patient education materials.
- Collaborate on abstracts or papers and support internal teams including lab, medical science, and marketing.
- Obtain and maintain GC licensure in assigned states.
- Represent the company at trade shows and deliver scientific presentations.
