Requirements
- Master’s degree in Genetic Counseling or equivalent degree.
- Board certified by the American Board of Genetic Counseling (ABGC) or the American Board of Medical Genetics (ABMG).
- Two or more years of clinical genetic counseling experience.
- Exceptional communication skills (oral and written).
- Strong attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and collaborate within a team.
- Adaptability to a fast-paced work environment.
- Familiarity with Google Workspace.
Responsibilities
- Review patient and reproductive partner medical and family history.
- Perform genetic risk assessments and provide explanations of identified risks.
- Offer relevant testing options and discuss benefits, risks, and limitations.
- Document counseling sessions and perform result call-outs and follow-up.
- Answer health care provider inquiries.
- Collaborate on the development and improvement of protocols, SOPs, and patient education materials.
- Represent the company at trade shows and scientific meetings.
