Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Accounting.
- 5+ years of professional experience in general corporate accounting.
- Strong proficiency in NetSuite and Excel.
- Familiarity with GAAP accounting standards and monthly closing processes.
- Ability to drive process improvements, efficiency, and effectiveness.
- Experience with automation tools and use of AI within Finance/Accounting.
- Proven organizational skills and ability to manage multiple projects.
- Strong analytical ability to interpret financial data and identify discrepancies.
- Effective communication skills for working with management and external partners.
- Experience in a service-based company is preferred.
- Public accounting or audit experience is a plus.
Responsibilities
- Oversee Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable functions, including disbursements and client billing.
- Manage the monthly revenue recognition process and related financial reporting.
- Maintain the general ledger, including journal entries, account reconciliations, and balance sheet schedules.
- Lead month-end and quarter-end close processes, including accruals and tax estimates.
- Supervise compliance filings such as 1099s, business registrations, and sales/use tax.
- Mentor and manage an accountant and two interns.
- Collaborate with department leaders and HR on payroll, benefits, and financial performance insights.
- Recommend and implement process improvements for accounting efficiency and scalability.
