Requirements
- Significant demonstrated experience with end-to-end (hybrid UX and UI) product design for consumer-facing products.
- Strong visual design sensibility with the range to move fluidly between systemized UI and more expressive, brand-forward moments.
- Portfolio featuring examples of design work.
- Ability to lead design for important projects with experience delegating work and giving direction to other designers.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to think at a high level about product strategy and vision.
- Experience in building and shipping applications or software (mobile/web).
- Proficiency in using AI as a creative and productivity multiplier.
- Strong fintech experience preferred.
- Experience leading design for successful growth initiatives at scale preferred.
- Bachelor's degree or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
Responsibilities
- Design high quality interactive experiences across mobile, both iOS and Android, and web.
- Lead projects throughout the entire design process; from creative conception to production and release.
- Collaborate with Product, Engineering and Marketing to help define strategy, and the roadmap to achieve business objectives (growth).
- Collaborate and give feedback/direction to other designers to continually push the level of quality on the team.
- Evaluate current processes, identify best practices, develop plans to reach goals and implement improvements.
- Utilize and contribute to the Step Design System.
