Requirements
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent professional experience.
- 5–7+ years of experience as a Platform Engineer, DevOps Engineer, SRE, or similar role with direct ownership of production systems.
- Strong programming experience in at least one modern language such as Golang, Java, Python, Ruby, or Rust.
- Proven experience managing AWS cloud infrastructure and related services supporting large-scale CI/CD environments.
- Deep experience with Docker and containerization technologies in production.
- Experience participating in and leading on-call rotations and resolving production incidents.
- Experience developing and improving change management and incident response processes.
- Strong knowledge of Infrastructure-as-Code tools such as Terraform or AWS CDK.
- Ability to design secure, reusable, and scalable infrastructure patterns.
- Demonstrated ability to mentor engineers and influence technical decisions across teams.
Responsibilities
- Design, build, and automate software development lifecycle processes and infrastructure solutions.
- Own the health, scalability, security, and performance of production systems.
- Lead incident response activities, conduct root-cause analysis, and implement preventative improvements.
- Develop and maintain monitoring, alerting, and observability solutions to improve system reliability.
- Troubleshoot complex issues related to application performance, scalability, infrastructure, and security.
- Define technical direction and contribute to architectural decisions for platform systems.
- Collaborate with engineering teams to build scalable, secure, and efficient platform capabilities.
- Mentor engineers on infrastructure best practices, operational excellence, and secure system design.
- Improve internal tooling, processes, and standards to increase engineering productivity.
- Design and maintain infrastructure-as-code projects and reusable cloud infrastructure patterns.
