Requirements

  • Advanced degree required: PhD, DVM, MS, or equivalent in veterinary medicine, animal science, epidemiology, outcomes research, health economics, public health, or a related quantitative discipline.
  • 5+ years of experience in companion animal health, outcomes research, clinical studies, or related scientific fields, preferably with global or multi-market exposure.
  • Strong experience designing and executing real-world evidence studies, comparative effectiveness research, patient-reported outcomes, utilization studies, and economic analyses.
  • Advanced knowledge of epidemiology, biostatistics, causal inference, longitudinal analysis, survival analysis, and related research methodologies.
  • Experience working with companion animal data sources such as veterinary medical records, practice information systems, insurance claims, or registries.
  • Proficiency with statistical analysis tools such as R, Python, SAS, or similar platforms.
  • Strong understanding of health economics and outcomes research methods, including cost-effectiveness analysis, budget impact modeling, and quality-of-life measurement.
  • Ability to create clear data visualizations and communicate complex scientific insights to clinical, commercial, regulatory, and business audiences.
  • Excellent scientific writing skills, including experience developing research protocols, publications, and executive-level summaries.
  • Strong cross-functional collaboration, project management, and stakeholder engagement skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a global, matrixed environment with changing priorities and international teams.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute clinical studies and outcomes research strategies supporting multiple companion animal products and markets.
  • Design pharmacoeconomic and outcomes research models to quantify product value, differentiation, and customer impact.
  • Collaborate with global and regional teams, including scientific, commercial, regulatory, and technical stakeholders, to align research priorities with business needs.
  • Support product lifecycle strategies by integrating post-launch evidence generation and real-world research principles.
  • Partner with veterinary customers, key opinion leaders, universities, and research organizations to expand scientific knowledge and evidence capabilities.
  • Analyze and interpret clinical, economic, and real-world data to create meaningful insights for internal and external audiences.
  • Prepare and present research findings through publications, conferences, internal communications, and customer-facing materials.
  • Ensure effective knowledge sharing across global markets to maximize research impact and collaboration.
  • Maintain high standards for research quality, data governance, documentation, and ethical compliance.
