Requirements
- 8+ years of experience in procurement category leadership roles.
- 3+ years of people management experience, including coaching and developing team members.
- Proven negotiation skills with a history of delivering cost savings.
- Deep knowledge of procurement best practices, category management, and supplier strategy.
- Experience managing end-to-end Source-to-Pay (S2P) processes and transformation initiatives.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, project management, and organizational skills.
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain, or related field (MBA preferred).
- Professional procurement certification such as CPSM is a plus.
- Experience with AI-based procurement platforms or ERP systems such as NetSuite is preferred.
- Experience in education technology or contract consolidation is advantageous.
Responsibilities
- Develop and execute category strategies across Marketing, HR, Finance, and additional enterprise spend areas.
- Partner with executive stakeholders and internal teams to identify sourcing opportunities and define requirements.
- Lead end-to-end sourcing activities, including RFP processes, supplier evaluations, negotiations, and contract execution.
- Manage supplier relationships, performance reviews, governance processes, and opportunities for consolidation.
- Drive total cost of ownership improvements, risk mitigation, and compliance with procurement policies.
- Support procurement transformation initiatives, including the implementation of AI-driven intake-to-pay platforms.
- Design and optimize procurement workflows, approval processes, and user experiences.
- Provide stakeholder education, enablement, and change management support.
- Lead and mentor team members while managing vendor relationships.
