Requirements
- 5+ years of professional software engineering experience in SaaS or product engineering environments.
- Solid understanding of application scalability, performance, and data correctness under load.
- Hands-on experience with modern Angular (2+) and Node.js/TypeScript services.
- Experience with both relational (MySQL/Postgres) and NoSQL datastores (DynamoDB, MongoDB, or Redis).
- Strong experience with event-driven, microservice-based architectures and integration patterns.
- Hands-on experience designing and operating AWS workloads (ECS Fargate, Lambda, API Gateway, etc.).
- Strong foundation in production-grade engineering practices including automated testing, CI/CD, and observability.
- Comfort carrying on-call for a live product.
- Experience with application modernization or re-platforming.
- Comfort using AI-assisted development tools in your daily workflow.
Responsibilities
- Own sizable, ambiguous features and integrations end to end, breaking complex problems into clear, workable pieces.
- Build and maintain FMS integrations and data synchronization using event-driven, API-based patterns.
- Share ownership of the live system, including on-call support and incident response.
- Improve scalability, reliability, and data correctness of high-throughput workflows through evidence-based decisions.
- Drive complex initiatives from design through implementation and rollout.
- Improve CI/CD, deployment, and environment management practices.
- Design and operate AWS application infrastructure focused on scalability, cost, and resilience.
- Help evolve the platform toward an event-driven, microservice-based architecture.
- Mentor engineers on design, testing, observability, and integration best practices.
