Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree and five (5) years of IT work experience; OR three (3) years of business analysis experience in a hospital or healthcare organization; OR high school diploma/GED and nine (9) years of IT work experience.
- Epic certification in at least one of the following: Prelude, Cadence, Grand Central, or Referrals.
- Experience working with healthcare information systems and business/operational stakeholders.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Strong communication and organizational skills.
- Ability to translate operational requirements into effective technology solutions.
- Understanding of patient access workflows and the relationship between operational processes and Epic system functionality.
Responsibilities
- Serve as a liaison between operational stakeholders and the Information Systems Department to ensure business needs are effectively represented.
- Support the ongoing operations, optimization, and enhancement of assigned Epic applications.
- Analyze business processes, workflows, and system requirements to identify opportunities for improvement.
- Collaborate with operational leaders, end users, application teams, and technical resources to understand business needs and develop effective solutions.
- Participate in requirements gathering, workflow analysis, system design, testing, issue resolution, and implementation activities.
- Evaluate the impact of Epic system changes on existing workflows and downstream processes.
- Maintain appropriate documentation related to requirements, workflows, system changes, testing, and operational processes.
- Support Epic upgrades, enhancements, implementations, and other system initiatives as assigned.
