Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in business administration, energy, policy, engineering, or a related field.
  • Minimum 12 years of total work experience.
  • Minimum 5 years of supervision and leadership experience managing multigenerational teams.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience with program implementation and growth, ideally in demand response or storage.
  • Familiarity with North American solar markets, particularly Illinois or income-qualified offerings.
  • Demonstrated experience managing operational or product teams to meet client outcomes.
  • Experience bridging the gap between client needs and software development requirements.
  • Strong financial acumen, including budgeting, cost management, and maximizing profitability.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead contract negotiations and renewals.
  • Strong project management and client management skills.
  • Ability to travel to Chicago at least once per quarter.
  • Excellent interpersonal and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee successful delivery of a large solar program market outreach team to achieve goals, execute deliverables on time and budget, and deliver high client satisfaction.
  • Develop strong cross-department coordination with information systems teams to maintain custom program implementation software.
  • Monitor program performance metrics, budgets, and timelines while proactively addressing risks.
  • Lead, supervise, and motivate a multidisciplinary team, fostering accountability and professional development.
  • Maintain and develop client and partner relationships to ensure service excellence.
  • Collaborate with department leadership to align goals with organizational growth targets and execute strategic plans for DER products.
  • Support business development efforts, including proposal strategy and execution for new and current projects.
