Requirements
- 10+ years of experience in modern cloud data platforms, data warehousing, consulting, and data engineering/operations.
- Extensive experience providing architectural guidance and operational support for cloud-native data warehouses such as Snowflake and/or Amazon Redshift.
- Expertise with cloud-native data technologies in AWS and/or Azure (e.g., S3, Aurora, Athena, Redshift, SageMaker, Azure SQL/DevOps).
- Production support experience in large enterprise environments.
- Strong working knowledge of SQL, including writing, debugging, and optimizing complex queries.
- Strong troubleshooting, performance tuning, and database administration skills.
- Active daily use of AI coding tools (e.g., Cursor, GitHub Copilot, Claude, ChatGPT) with demonstrated judgment.
- Experience delivering projects for external or internal clients in a professional services or consulting environment.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills in English.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
Responsibilities
- Own and drive the operation, reliability, and continuous improvement of modern cloud data platforms for enterprise customers.
- Translate business and technical requirements into robust cloud-native data platform architectures and implementation plans.
- Act as a technical leader across multiple simultaneous customer accounts, navigating complex environments and aligning stakeholders.
- Provide technical and strategic leadership during workshops, discovery sessions, design reviews, and operational reviews.
- Partner with practice and account leaders to build project roadmaps and delegating tasks effectively to engineers.
- Lead complex incident response and post-incident review efforts to drive systemic improvements.
- Mentor and coach team members to foster a culture of continuous improvement in platform operations.
