Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree, MBA, or master’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Materials Science, Industrial Distribution, or Supply Chain Management (technical focus).
- 12+ years of technical procurement/sourcing experience in Key Technologies (e.g., Pumps, Valves, Motors, Optical Displays, PC and Memory Storage devices).
- Deep understanding of current and emerging technologies including AI/ML, robotics, automation, biotechnology, and data science.
- Expertise in negotiations, contract management, and sourcing events (RFI/RFP).
- Proficiency with spend benchmarking and E-tools such as E-Auction.
- Ability to evaluate suppliers on technical capability, quality, and total cost using TCO modeling.
- Ability to travel up to 20% domestically and internationally.
- Strong collaborative skills for working with NPI, R&D, and Supplier Development teams.
Responsibilities
- Develop and execute global category strategies for Key Technologies to optimize cost, quality, delivery, and risk.
- Lead competitive sourcing events including RFIs, RFPs, and auctions.
- Negotiate agreements, drive preferred-supplier adoption, and manage supplier performance.
- Conduct spend analysis, market intelligence, and financial analysis to track savings against objectives.
- Lead cross-functionally with R&D, NPI, and VAVE teams to provide strategic direction on supplier selection.
- Apply Lean, Kaizen, and Danaher Business System (DBS) tools to drive continuous improvement.
