Requirements
- 5+ years of insurance claims experience, preferably in auto with some bodily injury.
- 3+ years of leadership experience, with preference for managing in a remote environment.
- Prior experience as a team lead, supervisor, or formal mentorship/QA role.
- Active resident-state adjuster license or Designated Home State (DHS) license.
- Willingness to obtain additional required state licenses within 60 days.
- Proficiency with claims technology and experience evolving systems for efficiency.
- Proven judgment in handling reserves, authority, and settlement strategy for high-exposure claims.
- Demonstrated commitment to accuracy, quality, and attention to detail.
- Strong integrity, ethics, and accountability regarding confidential information.
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent industry experience or professional insurance designations.
Responsibilities
- Oversee work performed by commercial auto claims adjusting staff.
- Implement and maintain best practices for claims handling, including intake, investigation, evaluation, settlement, and recovery.
- Serve as a resource for escalated claims and first-line questions.
- Prepare and present comprehensive claims reports, metrics, and analyses to clients and customers.
- Attract, hire, retain, and train team members with support from leadership.
- Manage direct reports and conduct initial onboarding and cultural immersion.
- Facilitate team huddles and workshops to discuss claim trends and loss mitigation.
