Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- 2–3 years of partnership tax experience in public accounting, fund administration, or a similar environment.
- Professional certification such as CPA, CA, or EA, or clear progress toward obtaining one.
- Strong knowledge of partnership taxation, including Form 1065 and Schedule K-1 reporting.
- Experience with investment fund structures like private equity, venture capital, or hedge funds.
- Advanced Excel skills and experience using professional tax software.
- Ability to identify risks and ensure accuracy in complex tax deliverables.
- Strong organizational skills to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
- Familiarity with tax platforms such as GoSystem or CCH Axcess is preferred.
- Experience with fund administration platforms is a plus.
Responsibilities
- Review U.S. partnership income tax returns (Form 1065), investor Schedule K-1s, and supporting documentation.
- Manage complex partnership tax activities including allocations, waterfall calculations, and capital account maintenance.
- Own end-to-end tax compliance deliverables and coordinate submission timelines.
- Manage filing calendars, extensions, and compliance deadlines.
- Research partnership tax matters and document technical positions.
- Identify and resolve discrepancies in tax deliverables.
- Collaborate with fund accounting, auditors, and internal stakeholders to improve workflows.
- Mentor and support junior team members and interns.
