Requirements
- 12+ years of professional software engineering experience with demonstrated technical ownership.
- Proven ability to define architecture and technical direction at an organizational or multi-team level.
- Strong full-stack engineering experience navigating frontend, backend, and infrastructure.
- Deep understanding of distributed systems, API design, data modeling, cloud-native architectures, and scalable software development.
- Experience working in environments requiring strong technical judgment and cross-functional collaboration.
- Active and advanced use of AI coding tools with a perspective on improving workflows.
- Exceptional communication skills, including writing technical proposals and aligning stakeholders.
- Ability to operate effectively in ambiguous environments.
- Familiarity with React, TypeScript, Node.js, PostgreSQL, Redis, AWS, Kubernetes, Terraform, and CI/CD pipelines.
- Familiarity with authentication/identity systems like OIDC, SAML, OAuth, JWT, and federated identity.
Responsibilities
- Define and drive cross-team technical strategy by identifying architectural gaps and leading complex initiatives.
- Build foundations, shared patterns, and platform capabilities that enable engineering teams to operate effectively.
- Take ownership of highly ambiguous technical challenges by bringing structure and actionable solutions.
- Guide architectural decisions across frontend, backend, infrastructure, and platform systems.
- Establish and improve engineering standards, including AI-assisted development practices and decision-making frameworks.
- Mentor and elevate engineers through technical guidance, reviews, documentation, and RFCs.
- Partner with product and engineering leadership to influence technical roadmaps and surface risks.
- Contribute hands-on technical expertise across distributed services and infrastructure.
