Requirements
- Master's or PhD in bioinformatics, genetics, biology, statistics, or a related field.
- 3-5 years of hands-on research experience analyzing genomics datasets, especially human data.
- Deep expertise in at least one of: population genetics, statistical genetics, or clinical genomics.
- Fluency with genotyping workflows including variant calling, fine-mapping, and Mendelian randomization.
- Demonstrated experience through publications or industry work.
- Experience building open-source bioinformatics software (nice-to-have).
- Familiarity with LLM-powered tools, prompting, or evaluation frameworks (nice-to-have).
- Background in cross-trait analysis or multiomics integration (nice-to-have).
Responsibilities
- Design, build, and evaluate LLM benchmarks for genomic analysis.
- Perform tasks spanning read alignment, assembly, variant calling, GWAS, causal inference, and multiomics integration.
- Own the full evaluation pipeline, including choosing datasets and defining failure modes.
- Write grading scripts to measure real capability in AI agents.
- Impact how LLMs reason through genomic problems.
